Try to remove the folders "Microsoft Office" and "Microsoft Office 15" in the "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" directory.

How good is office 2019 versus 2016? I have 2016 and really like it. I run the programs from my PC versus online. I don't like MS having control over office like that. I like to have a stand-alone copy that I can install completely on my PC...

Check if it is still downloading Office 2019 and check the Office 2019 computer activity in the Task Manager.

Install does not work for windows 7 x64. Any plans in the future for this to work on windows 7?

Microsoft Office 2019 does not support Windows 7/8.

Sure it isn't officially supported but with some hoops you can get this actually running. I used WOTOK Online from here, but i assume that OfficeRTool could also do the trick: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/discussion-microsoft-office-2019.75232/page-40#post-1467291
