When we integrate the SATA \ AHCI drivers, the basic DriverPaks that are removed, what kind of drivers are they? What functionality is being removed? The IDE?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 16 days ago
These are SATA/AHCI drivers from the chipset manufacturers themselves.
If they don't work then you should use the Microsoft SATA/AHCI (generic) driver.

Se i DriverPak di base funzionano, ma li sostituiamo comunque con Microsoft SATA / AHCI di Win8, commettiamo un errore?
      • This commment is unpublished.
        infuscomus · 16 days ago
If DriverPacks are already working then you will not need the Microsoft Generic driver.

Only use the generic driver if you are having problems.

This "modern hardware" means to get Windows XP to work on computers that no longer support Windows XP.

                Just normal iso.
Using install xp from winpe option with easy2boot. For some reason i get iso is too large for memory error when using normal install option. When i boot from normal xp usb it just skips it and boots past it. Using msi gt70-0nd latest bios, 4x4gb ram, i7 3840qm, intel hd 4000.
I appreciate the help ramsey 🙌.

Ok so i just tested my other laptops and they all get the wdf01000 error when trying to install with the winpe option, perhaps problem reading the installer from hdd?
None of my others have problems loading the iso into memory and it installs perfectly so its just this pc and somethinng with that wdf01000 file because all older versions of xp integral worked.

And can you post the exact steps you do in Easy2Boot? So that i can reproduce the problem.

Well the newest beta works with all customization options other than the ones that need wdf01000.
No xp iso will load without winpe on the this laptop for some reason. Although i got it running from usb to sd card reader it did not give wdf01000 error but instead "could not find eula" or something. with sd card i did not use easy2boot, just rufus.

                              1. So you don't get anymore the wdf01000 error with the latest beta17?
                              2. The Eula error is a Rufus problem. Don't use Rufus for Windows XP.

As long as i dont use patch option |K" it works. what should i use instead of rufus then? iso to usb just makes black screen.

An alternative way to install WinXP from a USB flash drive in 2 stages. In the absence of an optical drive, this is the most correct way to install the OS on modern hardware.
Ещё один способ установки WinXP с флешки из 2-х этапов, говорят при отсутствии оптического привода, это наиболее действенный способ установки ОС на современное железо.

Hey Ramsey. I used your Patch integrator v2.3.4b15 and created an ISO. Windows XP installs successfully but I have a question. When I click on safely remove hardware, I get all these options:

Why do we see all these options? Aren't they suppose to be hidden from user?

Am I wrong, or are the packages (including scripts) of versions 2.3.4b14 and 2.3.4b15 identical?

What files need to manual put into the 'C:\WINDOWS\system\drivers' folder to work this USB3 driver?
'ntoskrn8.sys' only or more?? Please, give a complete filelist.

The files "ntoskrn8.sys" and "storport.sys" need to be placed manually into this folder.

But the file "storport.sys" is already in use by the SATA driver "RSTe AHCI/RAID driver v4.7.0.1117". Which version "storport.sys" should I use to make both drivers work??

And here is a new beta:
      1. No more popup with the KMDF 1.11 on some USB Flash Installations.
      2. Deselecting and option will now also deselect the sub options.

It works fine here, no more pop-up about the missing wdf01000.sys.
        Thanks
