      @Ramsey BTW: Mr. Ram Z iWood B happy 2 pay U 4 all of these 'fancy' version OSes (XP, 10 X86 & X64, 11) & the Win 7 listed there as Virtual machines in 'split file' (so no 4GB limits) VDMK files 4 VMware/VirtualBox so iCan run them all (including 64 bit versions =) on Oracle VirtualBox 5.0.26 under Windows XP 32 bit =) The other versions of VirtualBox that will also run on XP that came after 5.0.26 R worse, so no point using them ~>
      https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=79136&start=15

      Quote: "Today I finally punted and rolled back to VB manager 5.0.26. Sure enough, ALL of these problems have gone away in the guest after the rollback. Audio/video latency is gone, no memory crashes, and the Windows Update service in the guest is behaving as expected. For now I have no reason to upgrade to the 5.1.x line, as 5.0.26 is stable for me."

      I can verify from my own experience using that version of version 5.0.26 of Oracle VirtualBox on Windows XP (32 bit) runs Windows 7 64 bit without any problems, but it is a different version than the 'fancy enhanced' one on the archive.org site =( The key is iWant them all 2 B able 2 browse & watch videos on Youtube with smooth motion & sound, as well as web browsers for later versions of windows for 'compatibility' with 'broken' (artifically cripped/written by fools) sites that won't run on any 'officially' XP-capable web browsers.

      All of this is very important because XP is by far the most flexible operating system overall, & quickest & most E Z 2 use 4 doing actual work, like the file management interface (though far from perfect) is infinitely better (with QTTabBar) than any of the stuff that came after, even after modding it with 'hacks' 2 B more like XP/95, etc. A couple things that would also help is to add 'desktop sync' to XP 2 avoid horizontal tearing in youtube videos in web browsers on XP, & also disable the retarded fake 'BSOD' (Blue Screen Of Death) nonsense when dumping a boot partition into a different computer. It should just install the different drivers instead, same as Windows 98 on back would do (before Micro$cam $abotaged things). There R several other 'bugs' iWould B happy 2 pay 2 fix, like disabling the stupid 'index on boot' krap in XP & others that makes it slower when there R lots of big drives attached, & adding 'APO' (Audio Processor Object) support & others & U or N E 1 interested can contact me 2 pay 4 it on a per-issue basis, at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com'.

      @Ramsey OOPS!  Here is a link 2 the Windows 7 4 the VDI multi-split (small file) VM 4 VirtualBOx 5.0.26 iWood like 2 hav, with working sound & networking & stuff so can watch Youtube videos thorugh it without problems.  iCan pay U 4 this & the others if U want.  Can reach me at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com', or if N E 1 else here wants 2 do it 4 me, or U know N E 1 who can do it = iCan pay them.  Spread the word! =) Because the file management & task bar & save as dialog for XP is so infinitely superior & faster & more convenient than N E thing else (espeially after adding 'QTTabBar') there is no point trying 2 use N E other OS, & yes I've tried Linux.  They're even more fuk'd up than Windows =P  Imagine all the bazillions 'the business world' could save by simply 'modularizing' the 'User Interface' from XP (in  'retro' Windows '95 mode) so can use it on those other broken OSes LOL ~> https://archive.org/details/windows-7-sp-1-aiox-64-x-86-multi-complete-pre-activated-update-septemper  It's interesting how 30 years L8R everything just keeps getting worse instead of better = like the (((Clot $hot))) krap & (((Mandates))) & (((Face Diapers))) = it's all a ((($cam))) =P

      @Guest
      iWould B happy 2pay N E 1 or a group 2 roll in support for later software so can run it on XP, kind of  like the 'Kernel EX' thing 4 Win '98 so it can run programs written 4 NT/XP, etc.  A few other things iWould like include disabling the fake BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) when changing hardware (instead just search 4 drivers, like in prior OSes), & enabling 'desktop sync' so no horizontal tearing when watching videos in web browsers =)  Also would B nice 2 add APO (Audio Processor Object) support 2 XP, & disabling the silly 'indexing' of large drives on boot, so only does that when calling up a dirrectory in Explorer or other cases where actually necessary.  Many other improvements I should make a page about, but those R the main ones 4 now.  Can reach me at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com'

      Also would like an XP-able version of the latest portable Firefox, as that's the only browser that renders right AND will save plugin setups 'locally', not 'auto-suicide' when changing machines because not 'cloud linked'. BTW: MyPal has a lot of flaws that Chrome doesn't, like Chrome can render a lot more sites accurately.  People should stop trying 2 'roll their own' & just mod Chrome instead, like enable that & Firefox 2 run in exclusively single threaded mode, 2 save mountains of RAM =)  That's the reason the only time iEver browse with N E thing other than Firefox 52 is if that can't render it right, because 52 is single threaded, etc.

    Has anyone been getting issues with audio? I tried installing this iso, used winboottousb 1.10 (formatted NTFS), and the audio never works. I tried to use SDI, but no audio driver is detected. This happened on two of my laptops so far.

      Ramsey · 14 days ago
      @Spence You have to install the correct audio driver for your computer. Tools like "Snappy Driver Installer" don't always work to find the correct diver(s). And this is also more of a question you should post in the "Snappy Driver Installer" forum.

      @Ramsey I tried to use the official HP drivers for my HP Mini 311, but nothing is working. I am asking here because I am wondering if this is an error in the ISO or my hardware. This has happened on two of my laptops, so I am wondering if something was taken out that was critical for audio.

      Or alternatively, is it the fault of my bootable USB software? What do you use?

      @Spence Nothing has been removed that is related to Audio. On the contrary the "Windows High Definition Audio "Function" Driver v1.0a (KB888111)" has even been added, because some old SP2 audio driver still need it.
      And I also don't think a USB installation should curse such a problem.

    Can somebody tell me how to remove the newly added Device Manager shortcut in the My Computer properties please?
    I prefer the way it was before. No disrespect intended to Ramsey.

      @Simple question
      You can find all settings in the ISO/Disc folder ".\OEM\RunOnce\Settings".
      To remove this setting, run the command below in a CMD window.

      Reg Delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\DevMgr" /f

    I want this modified Windows XP iso to add this One-Core-API binaries https://github.com/Skulltrail192/One-Core-API-Binaries for more support for Windows 10 set

      @RsulKong898 Yea and when people then get a BSOD after installing a One-Core-API program then they will come in here and ask why they get this BSOD. 🙃 That's why the One-Core-API was put into the WinXP-IE Recommended Programs text file.

    I installed this version of windows xp but I am having a hard time finding powershell. It is not listed in add/remove programs with updates checked, nor do I see it in \system32\powershell or anything like that.

    How can I install this? the description says it is an xp application included in this version?

      @Prathamesh Bankar Are you lazy and like to deliberately waste people's time? Says right there in the page U R on right now in the features list ~> "* PAE Patch v3.6: Allows you to set the RAM limit from 3.5 Gigabyte to 4 Gigabyte or to 128 Gigabyte."
