YES!!! Thank you Ramsey! I was wondering if you were going to keep this going. I have a ASUS M2R32-MVP MB that I am using in a NAS setup. when its done, its going to support 8 HD's and have a total of 8GB of memory. I am using a RocketRaid 2300 series controller card and the normal 4 channel SATA on Board. I wanted to use FreeNAS on it, but it won't see the network and won't broadcast.... I tried EasyNAS and it took out my MSI board! (bricked the darn thing!) installed it on the Asus board, and it worked OK but still wouldn't broadcast over my home network... I'm downloading another copy of XP to keep things up to date... oh, BTW.... you did update Firefox, right??

Love XP Integral, gratitude to you for your hard work Ramsey, but sir I prefer old site, this new look is very hard to navigate for me and everything seems random to my old eyes. Has the forum disappeared too? All topics should be grouped like old site for order. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for your work.

The new comment section has replaced the forum, for now!
And the website navigate is almost the same as before but what exactly would you change?

I've found SeaMonkey works well as a browser on this, starting up faster than Firefox.

SeaMonkey is okay, but you will not be able to play H.264/MP4 videos on WinXP with it. Firefox + Thunderbird would be a better solution.

How to solve svchosts 50% CPU usage problem? It remains like this for hours and Windows Update will not work when this kicks in

      (#) Important:

      3. Because of a Microsoft bug since 2017 you have to always install the latest "Internet Explorer 8 Cumulative Security Update" manually (Downloadable via the Microsoft Update Catalog) before you can get the newest updates over the Windows XP Update Center or else it will take extremely long to find the newest updates and the svchost.exe file will then also use a lot of CPU power.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, why would you need to use Win update now when this XP system is fully updated and will be updated every month in the form of a new Integral system? Plus IE8 is not that great and full of security risks. There's Firefox browser built into the system alreadyalready and secure!

Just installed your latest XP Integral and it works like a dream. Ramsey, I just noticed that the Home page of Zone62 is the less secure version http, as I was warned when logging in, so I changed it in Firefox options to https://www.zone62.com/ and then logged in. Thanks mate.

I installed Ramsey's recommended Panda anti virus and it is working well. Not as complicated nor feature rich as Avast/AVG, but without the persistent nag screens to buy or upgrade and no blue screen of death as yet, touchwood! Also appears to be stable and a low system resource user, so gets my vote!

Some of this patched files are old WinXP files and some WinXP Update will also override this patched files.
