    After installing on outdated hardware: Athlon 64x 1500+; 512 MB RAM. That was SO LONG, that after errors in instalation explorer just crashes. I don't know what cause it.

      @WinXP You could try to remove the SSE2 Updates with the Patch Integrator.
      It could also be that your Hard Disk Drive is causing write/read errors.

    I remember back in September-October 2020, someone leaked the Windows XP source code (not sure which exact version). Based on that, is it possible that a skilled programmers can now write their own security updates if they want to continue to use XP? If so, has anyone come up with a similar concept or topic lately?

      @algoflex For that you would also need to source code of all the Service Packs and Updates.
      And creating those updates is not as easy as it sounds. I don't think this will ever happen.

    so no one has any suggestions as to why nvme drives will make the system hard lock when writing data to them. tired both the Samsung and Microsoft driver from the patch integrator and it made no difference.

      @infuscomus well since i not able to boot an x58 system with an nvme atm there is a guy who makes bios to make that happen but he is located in turkey and no one has been able to get a hold of him since that earth quake the test i have been doing so far have just been with the nvme drive as a secondary drive. with the drivers in stalled windows will detect either of the 2 drives i tired. running crystal disk mark on it the read test complete perfectly and completely tap the full potential of a pcie 2.0 8x bus but once the write test start the system locks up. same goes for just trying to copy paste stuff to the drive.

    Hi Ramsey, is there any chance that you could host distro sources (build scripts, patches sources, maybe some guide etc) onto some Git service (not GitHub because M$ but something more libre like repo.or.cz)? so it won't get lost in case your storage crashes, you die or you just get tired of doing all this. This also will provide users with the exact history of changes reflecting all and every modification in details and will free you from the burden of maintaining lots of files and their versions. Thanks anyway tho

      @ZONE 94 IS AWESOME That's not really needed because everyone that can build a Windows XP Update Pack can modify the base ISO with the changes he wants. 😉

      I'm also still planning to release new versions of WinXP-IE, but i can only do that if there are new things to add. For now I'm waiting for a new MyPal 68 browser version to come out. 🙃

    Hello i am trying to get an nvme drive to work with xp. i used the patch integrator to patch in the samsung and microsoft nvme drivers. i tired a samsung 970 evo plus 1tb drive. windows will detect the drive when its plugged into no problem. however when u try to run crystal disk mark it will make it though the read test no problem but as soon as it starts the write test it hard locks the system. same if u try to copy stuff to the drive. same thing happened with an adata 8200 pro 512gb drive. issue happens weather using the samsung or microsoft driver. is there only certain drives that will work with xp or am i doing something wrong?

      @Dietmar Hi this was a brand new drive. i formatted it with windows 10 first to make sure the partition was aligned. drive worked fine when tested with the windows 10 machine. its just windows xp that seems to have the issue.

      When you use XP SP3 on an nvme device without Trim,
      in a short time it stops working. Even under win10 during long write zyklus,
      the write speed becomes less than 20MB/sec, much less than any harddisk.
      Only the Intel Optane nvme drives are always as fast as possible

      Hence it could be concluded that most of the B450 mb's should work.
      I'm aware to chose one which has a realtek soundchip/codec ALC892/897 (<1200), to get it safely working with the latest Realtek 2.74 driver for XP!
