    Question: Does this also work with Windows Server 2003 R2, or no?
    Only asking since from what I've heard Server 2003 has superior Volume Shadow Copy compared to XP.

      @Ramsey I was asking if this pack also works with Server 2003. Although considering that one is 64-bit, I'm gonna assume it's a "no".

      @WS2003 What pack you mean? This is a full Windows XP SP3 operating system not a upgrade pack.

    Hello, Ramsey. Thanks for your job. Sorry in advance if my question is stupid, i am new one here. After i downloaded this build, i saw that the build contains not only image, but also additional files and folders. The question is: how should i manage it properly? Does it mean that at first i should install the build, and after that i can use additional materials (Patch Integrator, Extras etc.), or should i integrate the additional materials into the build by myself BEFORE installation? If second – how should i do it? Or you already wrote the instruction of installation? If yes – please, tell me, where i can read it. Thank you.

    Если есть кто русскоговорящие, кто знает: ребят, как правильно поступать с добавочными папками и файлами? Их нужно интегрировать в образ самостоятельно или можно сначала поставить винду из этого образа, а потом добавлять все полезности по необходимости?

      @Ilya If you are installing Windows XP IE on an older computer, you should install the 'Vanilla' .iso. It is best to burn to a DVD and install it from that. The Patch Integrator enables you to make a custom .iso to suit the requirements of more modern machines. This should provide all information; http://www.zone54.com/ddl/WXPPx86IE_-_ReadMe.txt

      @The Fugitive
      Yes, i've already read it and generally i understood it, thank you. But i am planning to install XP onto rather new computer. The question is: should i integrate all drives from all subfolders (of the folder "Patches") or should i do it selectively? For example, there are several different SATA drivers:

      in the folder "AMD SATA driver v1.2.001.0337",
      in the folder "JMB585 SATA driver v1.0.0.0",
      in the folder "Kai-Schtrom SATA driver v1.0",
      in the folder "Microsoft SATA driver v6.2.9200.20652"...

      should i integrate everything from these folders? Won't i get problems if i will integrate everything? (because my knowledge is not deep, but i want WinXP to work on modern computers also)

      @Ilya
      Only integrate 1 of them, they will conflict with each other if integrated together.

      The microsoft SATA driver generally works in most cases, but ig not try one of the others.
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ilya · 6 months ago
      @infuscomus Thank you for the answer. Then some questions, if you don't mind.

      1. My processor will be AMD A6. Should i choose AMD SATA driver or more reliable is Microsoft SATA driver anyway?
      2. The similar question about USB3.0 drivers: AMD&Intel USB3.0 or Microsoft USB3.X xHCI?
      3. ACPI drivers: inside of the folder there are acpi.sys, and two more files "acpi.sys" in the subfolders acpi 6666 and acpi 7777. Which one is better to use in common case?
      4. There are also many options for NVMe drivers. If i understood you properly, the optimal choice is Microsoft NVMe driver, right?
      5. I also found some drivers for AMD A6 here:
      https://driver.ru/?H=A6-3400M&By=AMD&SS=Windows%20XP&ysclid=lmvwtfd72q170550714
      Should i include all of them (or partially) into the image, or no need?

    Hi Ramsey,
    some news about Pach Integrator?
    I would just take version Beta7 with the genius [Version] check.
    And I would integrate the new win8.1 Sata driver from George King.
    When you want to delete another Sata driver for this,
    say bye bye to the JMicron Sata driver, because nobody has a need for it
    Dietmar

      Ramsey · 7 months ago
      @Dietmar Are you sure the Windows 8.1 SATA driver works on more mainboards than the Windows 8.0 SATA driver? I think compatibility is way more important than speed.

      I have hired a Freelancer for doing the Java part of the UTF-16 Hex detection script.
      And now I also implemented the Java part into the JREPL.bat tool and added a few Batch commands to it and everything works fine now with the JScript UTF-16 Hex detection. 😃

      Here is the Release Candidate 1:

      @Ramsey
      Hi Ramsey,
      I just try to understand, how this UTF-16 detection now works.
      And I am just in this moment testing
      the new version on the Japanese XP SP3 Media CD.
      Because it cant be better than version Beta7, I only need to compare.
      About the Sata driver from George King I can say: It works on each mainboard that I tested. I tested mostly new boards, because on older ones the Fernando 1006 Sata driver works best for Intel boards.
      The Fernando 1006 driver does not work on AMD boards.
      So, I think the driver from George King is similar to the Kai Schtrom driver.
      May be better on brandnew boards.
      But in any case, no need for the Jmicron Sata driver
      Dietmar
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 7 months ago
      @Dietmar The JScript hex detection works by checking the first hex value "FF FE" (ÿþ) in a file and also checks for "0D 00 0A 00" (Windows UTF-16 Line Break) and "0A 00" (Linux UTF-16 Line Break). The UTF-8 files don't have any "00" in their Line Breaks and UTF-32 have "00 00" in their  Line Breaks.

      But what would be the point in having the Windows 8.0 SATA driver and Windows 8.1 SATA driver including. 🤔
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Dietmar · 7 months ago
      @Ramsey
      Hi Ramsey,
      with new Patch Integrator and with Beta7 I get the same Japanese Media SP3 CD.
      I also check all encodings. They are also correct recogniced in both.

      In any case works the new 8.1 Sata driver on more boards than the one from Jmicron.
      Until now, I do not find a board, where the Kai Schtrom Sata driver not works.
      So it is your decision. You also can let the Jmicron Sata driver stay alive and just add the new 8.1 Sata driver. On brand new coming board, this can help

    @Ramsey Thanks for all the hard work you've put into this project! I've always loved XP and happy to see it live on like this.

    For a personal project with a club I'm part of, I am planning to set up half a dozen machines with XP and I was wondering if I should hold off for a potential new upcoming version? Not sure what is in the pipeline.

    Thanks!

      Ramsey · 7 months ago
      @killap Yes you should hold off as soon as a new MyPal 68 is release, I will also release a new WinXP-IE.
      There is not much change at the ISO level but the Time Zone update could be useful.

      @Ramsey Thanks, Ramsey! I saw a recent post from you with the latest upcoming changes. Nice list and excited to try this all out for the first time for the machines I'm putting together. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. 😀  Appreciate your time.

    Excuse me, I guess this question has been asked many times already, but I don't want to look for the answer among nearly 6k comments. So I'll ask it one more time if you don't mind: will 64-bit aps work on this Windows build? Thank you.

      Ramsey · 7 months ago
      @Tinien No 64-bit stuff will not work on a 32-bit Operating System. Windows XP is meant for low hardware computers.

    Is there a way to upgrade an older XP Integral Edition in place? I got the 2015 edition from a torrent (I happen to write this comment on a virtual machine running it, so hello!) and I have a suspicion that I'd have to reinstall everything if I get this version. Can you confirm or deny that's the case? Thanks

      @a13cui You should do a fresh installation. Anything else will work but it will not be the clean way of doing it.

    Maybe it's time to make a build based on One-Core-API-Binaries and One-Core-API-Tools?
